New Loom Working…

I’ve actually finished setting up the new/old loom (except for lacing some of the treadles) and started a bit of test weaving.

The loom is a type called “countermarch” where treadles pull some of the frames up, and other frames get pulled down to weave part of the pattern, different to my other loom. Also I’ve set this loom as overslung where a heavy beater-bar swings from the top of the loom making weaving less tiring.

There’s still lots of things to tweak, and even more things to learn on this loom before I can do the fancier patterns, but so far it seems to be weaving OK 🙂
